Billy Ray Laminack passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at age 89 after a short illness and complications of pneumonia, he was born to the late Claude and Nellie Laminack on February 19, 1930. A longtime resident of Winnsboro, he had recently resided in Sulphur Springs, TX. He retired from Wilson Plywood and Door at age 56 to continue the family ranching tradition.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrie Sue Wilkins; his parents, Claud Marcus and Nellie (James) Laminack; twin brother Bennie Fred, and brothers Louie Paul, Julius Howard “Hap”, and Robert Doyle Laminack. He is survived by his daughter, Carla Buck, of Sulphur Springs, son-in-law Eric Buck, granddaughter Lauren Ball and her husband Tyler, one great-granddaughter, Emalyn Ball, grandsons Austin Buck and his wife Kambree, Mason Buck, and Billy’s son, Marc Alden Laminack of Garland, TX.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the First Baptist Church, 116 Oak Avenue, Sulphur Springs, at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 14. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heifer International (heifer.org) or FarmSanctuary.org.
