The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Taylor can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Lisa
Condolence: May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief, and throwing your anxiety on God in prayer, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7; Psalm 83:18) All suffering and death will soon be eliminated and we have the hope of being reunited forever with our loved ones who have died. (Revelation 21:3,4; John 5:28,29; Isaiah 26:19) I'm sorry for your loss.

Condolence From: Carroll Kennemer
Condolence: Although he was 2 years older, John Nolan was my best friend from the 1st grade thru the 3rd grade in Pleasant Grove. Our families were best friends. My Daddy, Raphael Kennemer & Nolan Taylor were best fishing buddies which brought many good memories of our short fishing trips & simply visiting each other. My Mother & Joycelyn were equally close. The Taylor Kids & The Kennemer Kids were all close in age. Fred & my brother John Charles were the same age while my sister Theda & Gary were the same age, followed by my sister Brenda & John Nolan being the same age with Carolyn being 1 year older than me. We moved away to Avinger, TX in 1953 when Daddy got a job with Brown & Root in Lone Star, TX. I didn't see John Nolan after he was 11-12 years old until he moved back to the Pleasant Grove in his retirement years. As a kid I remember how nice he always treated me, & strangely, I remember his perfect white teeth. So many good memories of John Nolan & so many thanks for his & Gary's commitment to the old school house. I did not meet his kids but certainly have them, along with Gary & Carolyn, in my prayers. I will miss him but will keep all the great memories close to my heart.
